Choose NTK because:
The Ignition Knock (Detonation) Sensor monitors vibrations caused by engine knock or detonation to alter the ignition timing and prevent detonation. A piezoelectric crystal generates a varying voltage based upon engine vibration intensity to delay ignition timing to help prevent severe and costly engine damage. Reasons for replacement include check engine light illumination, engine hesitation, poor fuel economy or failed emissions test.
Characteristics include:
- INSTALLATION AND SUPPORT: Mounting threads, harness length and wire gauge match OE for easy, worry free installation. Backed by a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty.
- ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY: Manufactured to operation performance standards to meet or exceed OE fit, form, and function to ensure proper ignition timing.
- THE NTK DIFFERENCE: Reinforced components are used to reduce the chance of part failure and prevent corrosion and moisture penetration. Shielded harness prevents electrical interference.
